On the same bright January day we visited the meta-painting of Gerhard Richter at Fondation Vuitton, the renovated Notre Dame and this spectacular new temple of contemporary art in Paris, situated in a spacious former department store at the Palais Royal. The variety of artistic techniques and approaches is simply breathtaking. Equally striking is the the audience, which includes everybody from elderly avantgarde connaisseurs to families with small kids, all with a positively casual attitude.
