A spectacular and inspiring confrontation of the two great painters. Seeing them side by side is like having puzzle pieces fall into place, suddenly you notice things that belong together, but it wasn’t obvious before.
Don’t bother too much looking at Mitchell’s paintings in books and on small screens, those are just faint memories. Her work has to be experienced live and large, where it is like great cinema and a symphony orchestra playing live.
