In the second<\/a> incarnation of the TERRA exhibition in and around Beaune, Burgundy, Milena Berman and her team <\/a>again found exquisite venues not normally accessible to the public and carefully inserted contemporary artworks taking up the dialogue with their architectural surrounding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the the opportunity to visit Chateau de Chevigny-en-Vali\u00e8re, a crumbling end-of-19th-century manor situated in the plains southeast of Beaune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the small chapel of the manor, the floor is covered by skull-shaped ceramic moulds and visitors are invited to take of their shoes, walk on it and reflect on their mortality. A truly remarkable experience. <\/p>\n\n\n

Several works were placed in the staircases where they interact with the verticality of the setting.<\/p>\n\n\n

Among them, an iridescent panel by Syagini Ratna Wulan<\/strong> – O = 96,482 F 12,1212 (Thermal ii)<\/em>, an artist who is also represented by several other acrylic\/stainless steel objects. <\/p>\n\n\n
